I've taught high school physics in Baltimore for seven years and lead the physics professional development for every teacher in the district. I came into teaching through Teach For America, and the goal that brought me in still drives the work: reach every student I work with, and help them become the best version of themselves.

I started my career at Benjamin Franklin High School, a high-poverty school where many of my students were still learning English or had been underserved long before they reached my classroom - and the growth we made together is something I'm as proud of as anything I've done since. Along the way, I tutored SAT math and helped train new tutors at the Yleana Leadership Foundation. Today I teach at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, one of the city's most rigorous and selective high schools.

I studied Environmental Engineering and competed as a Division I runner at the University of Colorado Boulder where I was a three-time All-Conference athlete and a scoring member of a fourth-place NCAA Championship team. I know firsthand what it takes to chase an ambitious goal while balancing a variety of responsibilities. I coach distance runners with high performance goals too; if your student runs, ask me about it.
